This video gets to the point of what I’m trying to do; “sell” my childhood Madonna memories. Really, pause and reflect on them, what did I learn, what did they mean to me. And make room for new ones. If that doesn’t work I’ll burn them, like what allegedly happened to Madonna’s childhood home.

I ate the apple, took the bait, and bought all eight remixes of Girl Gone Wild separately, so the 8 individual downloads would count 8x towards the Billboard Pop Song charts. Money spent: $10.32 + $1.99 for the video + tax. That’s one down and 76 to go, at least.
“I want to rule the world.” Everybody wants to rule the world. I didn’t see this live, but it echos on. And Madonna on Dick Clark passing.
Madonna, I need a break. 30 years ago, the music brought me to you. Now, I’m turning off the radio, boxing up the magazines and rolling up the posters. I’m ready to spend a year without you Madonna. No listening to Madonna, no buying Madonna, no reading Madonna. In an effort to make room for other influences, to fill my Madonna-hole with something else. Before I do, I will randomly recount my memories of each single, then stop playing them. Once I get through the 77 singles, Madonna is on a no playlist for a year. Just to see what happens.
